"Camerz ZII" Camera Value?

So I recently took passion of about 15 of these cameras from a downsizing photography studio. I understand that these originally were around $5,000 each but I'm worried that they no longer have any value at all. I see some on Ebay in the $50 range but shipping itself would be a large percentage of that.

Would there be much interest here trying to sell these or does anyone know what to do with them besides donate/recycle/trash them? If there is any value of them at all, I think I could snag at least another 50 of them.

They are only useful to someone who wants to own and use them. Find some of those and you will have enough money to retire.

I imagine these cameras will be very difficult to sell, as they are a bit too impractical for most people who typically shoot film nowadays.

I personally don't think there's much value to them. Prior to digital these cameras were the way to go, but they needed an "infrastructure" to support them. Today that support is mostly missing, even if you were willing to pay the extra cost of the film.

If I were in your shoes, I'd take a look at the lenses. PhotoControl made an early film/digital grab (low res) version using a Nikkor lens - they were roughly 50-250mm, constant aperture lenses, as I recall. If you happen to have any of those, the lenses would probably still bring some money for use on manual cameras; they were pretty expensive lenses when new.

I've eyed them online to play with, but agreed about the shipping, too much. Would love one though.

What I may do is roughly weight one of the boxes (they have their own cases for transport/shipping). I would probably gladly do something like shipping + $25.00 to anyone that wants one. I'll think this through a bit. They are pretty heavy but if shipped UPS via their cheapest method it may be somewhat reasonable.

When I said not much value, I was thinking on the order of a hundred or two bucks. To me, $25 is almost insanely cheap, even though there's almost no practical use. I dunno. I suspect that some number of photogs would gladly pay that just as a display piece in their studio. If they have a dummy (no good - fogged, etc.) roll of film in the magazine, there is a certain enjoyment in just clicking the button to hear the magazine advance.

If the tripods they used are still around, they might bring more $ than the cameras.

Almost worthless because of the availability of films. Other than rolling 120/220 in there, not sure what else can be done with it. I'd want one to play with but other than that, it would be tough to resell.

Edit: Oh, and labs that can process 100' 70mm rolls.

They make cool conversation pieces. I have a nice one on my bookcase at work. It's cool. Nothing more.

Hoping to be able to trade via Craigslist for other camera gear.
