i read someplace recently that the first successful head transplant
had taken place.
http://www.businessinsider.com/human-head-transplant-surgeon-claims-he-did-on-corpse-2017-11
we all know other stuff can be transplanted
eyes, cornea, fingers, toes livers valves hearts and other organs,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organ_transplantation
i wonder, if you could receive the transplant someone's stem cells who was a great photographer
you know, they had the eyes of a prince when it came to making photographs ...
would the photographs made be yours or the doner's?

then if you then go out and have the urge to buy his ( or her ) camera ...
would the images made be yours or his ?

and somehow you were in on ebay and found a hat, sunglasses, old cigar, cigarettes
and clothes .. and you slowly turned yourself through plastic surgery ... into that person, without realizing it ..
.. would the photographs taken be yours because it is your brain processing the images seen by his eyes
or do the eyes over ride the brain ?

it is well known what happens when a murderer's hand being transplanted onto someone else's body
that the person with the new hand is destined to do heinous thngs.

i have to admit, sometimes after eating local wild turkey, i tend to walk into oncomming traffic and other times
i have to be stopped because i keep bumping my head into my neighbor's shiny black car, i don't hold my breath
until my face turns blue though.
i've heard of others who eat local wild turkey
and they end up running in circles inside the dunking donuts shop around the corner. ( the po-po is busy this time of year )

it is also known that if marty feldman helped you install abby normal's brain in a giant body

you could easily train it to walk " heel toe, heel toe" across the floor and sing putting on the ritz overriding the monster's inate urges

all's good, unless there is fire of course ...

are the eyes the vision thing, can vision be learned or is it something created through one's life?
and if transplantation ( of stem cells eyes, organs &c ) and wearing the clothes &c
help define the person who used to produce the images through some process we do not yet understand

it is ethical to obtain their essence claim the new work as one's own.

I wonder... Why is the alphabet all mixed up? Why doesn't it have all of the vowels together and all of the consonants separately together?

But back on topic, would you like a few of my stem cells? I have a few to spare and I also have some good qualities/attributes. I'm not a great (or even a good) photographer but many of my friends envy what I can still do and they cannot. Let me know...

But maybe not... it might not be ethical for us to make such a deal without my wife's consent.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thread ever...

not really ... its a documented fact that ....

getting cells transplanted from someone noteworthy could cause a problem. especially if there genome is stronger
than the host. look what happened in 1983 to dr. michael hfuhruhurr and the curious case of ann uumellmahaye

==
thanks for the offer brian .. im still having trouble with tryptophan ..
and regarding the alphaBet...
i didn't realize they were jumbled up for the longest time, it always learned the letters vowels were first starting with yoeiua
it was only the yello song aeiou ( and sometimes y ) taught me it the other way , some might say it is alphaBetter ..
not sure if it is though ..

If they did it that way, you couldn't pronounce it.

"The eye receives the messages and sends them to the brain-no guarantee the stimuli must be perceived the same when looking through Gary Gilmore's eyes...."

thanks alan
but what about the clothes/accessories /glasses/camera/clothes &c
i mean the woman who wore red shoes had trouble hans brinker too ...
quite a metamorphosis takes place... and at least in those stories
the shoes and skates were seen to be extremely influential in the glory/outcomes ....

i wonder if work was copyrighted, whose name would go on the form if the host
who received the cells didn't have a strong enough will or sense of self?
like when an actor is so engulfed in a character he or she plays that they never
really leave that persona ... ( type cast or just become "the count " (béla ferenc dezső blaskó ) )

1935 "Mad Love" starring Peter Lorre as a mad surgeon/scientist who is able to graft one persons body parts onto another (with obvious results).. Crazy freaky flick.

exactly what i am talking about ...
i bought a pair of shoes off of ebay a few months ago
that are my daily drivers .. i swear they are messing with my head.
im not sure who owned them, but lately i have been exposing tmax100
at f22 and processing my film in replenished Xtol.

For some reason, anytime I wear my pinstripe suit, any camera I pick up turns into a Speed Graphic
Maybe I'm channeling Weegee?

Oh, I didn't see mentioned that the head transplant was done on dead guy parts. I know the supposedly checked out the nerve connections, but, I'm still not sure if it would really work. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

The more you read the bigger the vocabulary you pick up and the more articulate you should be.

Likewise the more you look at others photos the bigger the visual grammar you aquire so in part vision is acquired.

But when and how to use that grammar is a personal thing.

if i already have an established visual grammar and vocabulary, i am making 6 figures as a muralist but after the transplantation
i no longer make color sunset photographs and sell them to mcDOnalds but instead only photograph manhole covers. it turns out
the person whose organs i received worked at a foundry ... and LOVED pig-iron ... i become wildly
famous for the manhole covers .. is it because i am a great photographer or because of the secret messages
somenoe is giving me from beyond and my donor's fondness of iron ...
