I'm looking to test-drive a hasselblad 500cm (or perhaps a 503cm which would be more current) before i get sucked into the hassie disease.
have anyone had any experience with the following? Dead Link Removed http://www.vistek.ca
or do you have another suggestion where I can rent one around the GTA?
(Currently i'm still torn between a hasselblad 500cm and a mamiya c330) So i'm looking for test-drives

Will you be in the GTA? Check price, terms and availability of what you're after. Henry's bought Headshots. Not sure if rentals are handled thru their many outlets around the GTA. Vistek will move stock out to Mississauga. Not sure what range of Hasselblad film gear they still rent.
Might be cheaper to buy and resell if you don't like rather than rent. But I don't think you will part with a Hasselblad once you shoot with it! I bought a 503CW, 80mm, 150mm and winder... Got a good deal and it's a keeper. My thoughts:
1. Shutter is a lot louder than I was used to but doesn't bother me.
2. Lots lighter and more compact than a mamiya rb/rz. Can handhold easily.
3. Square format is pleasing.
4. Just a fantastic camera system and a pleasure to use - has some quirks and peculiarities but once learned, easy.
FilmPlus in the Dupont/Lansdowne area has the best rental selection and prices. 35mm, H-503, Fuji, and Mamiya medium format, and even 4x5. By the day or week.
Much more reasonable and easier to deal with than Vistek. Their price list is online, and it's definitely worth renting before you buy. Or just renting when you need one.
I like filmplus, too. The only glitch is inventory depth relative to Vistek/Headshots, but these days film stuff is thinning out. I'm no fan of Vistek/Headshots and rec'd them only for selection. Try Guy at filmplus first.
