I would like some assistance on identifying a camera that appeared on the cover of a Soviet children's magazine in 1926.

As the Soviet Union did not produce consumer cameras until the 1930s, it is likely German.

Any suggestions, along with related images, would be most welcome!

1926 is the date of the image -- so it is too early to be an EFTE (started manufacture in 1929).

I am thinking it might be a Voigtlander AVUS -- but the angle that this one is shot at makes it hard to identify (not the usual view of images of cameras posted on the web).

How many similar cameras have got such rectangular embossing?

The embossed lines at the Avus are different: single lines.
The thread at the bottom of the Avus is located asymetrically.
