Hey everyone,

I'll be posting this on behalf of a friend. He's in Paris right now and just purchased a used TLR camera, but neither he nor I can make heads or tails of the brand or find out anything about it.

What can you tell us? Thanks so much!

does it say anything inside or around the lens? I can't find anything remotely resembling that name on the top in McKeon's...some small off-brand would be my guess, czeck or something similar perhaps?

but just guessing. Open it up and see if it has anything written inside, or the back or bottom, around the lens, or whatever.

Well, McKeon would not be the only source.

In my printed archive I found a report on 3 different TLR models from Lustre Optical works. All built between 1955 and 1956.

The model in question may be the LustreFlex C, the basic model.

That internet site even presents a fourth model.

But photographing ones toes instead of the shutter or lens is not the best idea when asking for help.

Haha you'd be absolutely right! Unfortunately though, they are not my photos nor my camera

So the consensus seems to be Lustre?

Well, there was a company named Lustre that made similar cameras. And the descriptions of their cameras point at the camera in question.
I assume a photo of the lens and shutter be the proof.

That name can be read as "Lustre". But only after knowing about Lustre...
But as "Instax" too.
