What is the use of such a large bag ? You can only miss many good images while changing lenses, the photons will abandon you before you will be able to capture them. I much prefer the smallest bag possible, basically for lens tissue, a filter and a few rolls of film.

I have a big bag that I really enjoy a Tamrac Pro something from the late 1980s. Wonderful bag. I've been trying to find a small bag that will handle a nice body with a medium length lens and an extra lens, two or three rolls of film, a series of filters, a small notebook and a pen. ... For Sunday afternoon shooters its not such a big deal unless you are a hiker, biker or skydiver (as they used to say, "don't forget to pull the dark slide and the ripcord.")

I am into cordless bungee jumping so I do not worry about the pesky equipment like ripcords. I only have to deal with the camera equipment. You should try cordless bungee jumping, you get a lot of coverage and you can really make a big impression!

You guys slay me...I hope to keep this going because you are making me laugh so hard...
I have three bags. One is useless and pretty much stores stuff I'm not using at the moment. One is a porter case that I use when I travel for a job. One is like a backpack...handy for hiking, etc., and also not looking like I am carrying a bunch of camera equipment!

Back in the 80s I was shooting a lot of tennis and noticed a guy from OS using an Adidas Camera bag. I just had to get my hands on one - and I did, special order through my local Athlete's Foot store. Wasn't cheap for the time, but it was a great bag and you'd *never* suspect it held camera gear (unless you picked it up!!).

Still have it, although it hasn't been used in a quite a while; basic dividers and 3 pockets - but the leather trim and 3-stripes are certainly not Lowepro branding standard.

Just ordered a Tamrac Velocity 10x.

Seems to fulfill my needs (F80, FE, 50/1.8, 24/2.8, 80-200 F4 AIS) and gives easy access. It probably will have some extra room which I can use to store film

Does anyone know of any pocket-sized bags that will hold my 5x7 rig with a few dozen holders and some lenses, it doesn't need to take the tripod.
I've been looking for one for a long time, but nothing seems to quite work.

Unless you've got a couple Dolly Vardens hanging out of it it's still going to say "cameras". Especially if you have one of same hanging on your neck. (A camera, not a Dolly Varden.)

I've got a domke F-5xb and I couldn't love it more for street shooting. I leave the camera over my shoulder and the bag holds three lenses on my other side, across my body. It's perfectly-sized for three SLR lenses. The only lens I can't fit is my 80-200 f/2.8. It's just barely not deep enough to fit.

If I need something to carry more gear, I have a Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home. It fits anything I'd need for a serious outing while still not getting in my way.

And then if I really need to lug some stuff out somewhere and use it as a sort of "mobile base," I have a CaseLogic photo backpack. I can lug tons of kit around in it, but it's more of a "take it to your location and stay there" sort of thing. I'll often load it up in my trunk if I'm driving somewhere so I know I have everything.

All of them work, but the Domke is my favorite because it's so weightless and fast to get in and out of.

Well? How is it?

For the last six months or so I've been using a ginormous Domke messenger bag with a waxed finish to carry two cameras with lenses mounted. A bit overkill, but so easy to slip a body in and out without having to wrestle with partitions. (Years ago I would have stuffed the bag with gear and broken my clavicle hauling so much unnecessary crap around. Somehow, in the intervening years, I got smart. No, really.)

Be careful the bag material may be waterproof, but it has an awful lot of zips and I doubt they are waterproof.
