Hi,

I'm unable to find a bag bellows for my 5x7 Cambo SC. Are there any other options then an actual Cambo, i.e. will any other brand work?

Thank you.

Darryl, Cambo's bellows frames are modified lens boards. AFAIK, only SC boards fit SC function carriers. Your 5x7 SC has a 4x5 SC front standard and a 5x7 rear standard, therefore wants a tapered bag bellows.

FWIW, I faced a similar problem -- 2x3 SC front standard, 4x5 SC rear standard -- and didn't want to buy an expensive Cambo-made tapered bag bellows to suit. So I made my own, had to sacrifice two perfectly fine boards.

The first link in this https://www.largeformatphotography....to-look-for-information-on-LF-(mainly)-lenses discussion is to a list of useful links. The DIY section has directions for making bag bellows, including mine.

Good luck, have fun,

Dan

There are a small number of vendors who produce custom bellows for large format cameras, but I don’t know if any of them make bag bellows.

I went with a vendor on ebay who operates out of china to have a very nicely constructed custom extended bellows made for my cambo sc 4x5. Only cost a couple hundred bucks.

Like I say they may not do bag bellows but might be worth asking in case they do.

Maybe others could chime in with options for custom bellows vendors they are aware of. I can’t seem to locate the others at the moment.
