So the regular caffenol developer is 4 teaspoons of instant coffee generally.

I've seen another say 40 grams in 1 litre of water.

What I would like to ask for those who have Folgers, is how many mg per 100g of the instant coffee is caffeine?

I asked since I've bought 250g of pure caffeine powder.

My understanding is that caffeine is not the developing agent in Caffenol (probably caffeic acid is).

Your best bet may be to sell the caffeine powder on the black market to college students, mathematicians, and other helpless caffeine junkies, and use the proceeds to buy more Folger's.

There's no Folgers here. Plenty of other instant coffee... it wasnt expensive, so its not really a loss, can try it out anyway, probably make a profit if I sold it to one of my fellow students.

The cheaper instant coffee tends to be made with beans that have more of the caffeic acid so it should work just fine.

any instant coffee will work,
unless it is expensive!

when i was in france "el gringo" brand worked like a champ!
