Hello,
I've just received a pair of cactus V5 and have tested them whith a Pentax AF200T and A METZ 34 BCT 2 but no one is triggered . The wireless connection is ok but the receiver doesn't trigger the flash ( on the hot shoe or with a sync cable ) .
Do you have experience with such a combo ? Do you think it's a problem from the cactus or my two flash are not compatible ?
Thank's for help and opinions .

Does it have a test button on the transmitter?

Do you know someone else that may have another flash to try?
In the distant past, I have seen flash units that work on one camera but not another. Never found out why, anything like that is just magic to me.

Do you have a camera that successfully fired either flash? Have you carefully read the Cactus v5 manual? There is a comment in the manual about flash polarity. The Metz trigger voltage is 211V and the Pentax is 7.8V, I don’t know if the voltage is part of your situation.

If you can drive the flash with a camera, it will provide information on polarity and voltage compatibility. I have two small speedlights that are not compatible with all of my cameras. It is related to the hot shoe pin configuration.
