Cable release for shutter on Technika lens board?

I bought a Linhof Super Technika V which has some kind of adapter for the shutter release mounted on the lens board. My cable release does not fit. What kind of cable release do I need?

There is a thread on nipple adapter (linhof quick connect)
B+H has them ~$30

I removed the quick connect adapter temporarily so I can use a standard release cable.
