I just ordered a 645 super from KEH but wanted to make sure I have the right cable release for it. It seems that a traditional screw-type mechanical release can be used via a special adapter. Does this adapter come with the body or is it a seperate item? Thanks for any help.

Daniel,
As I recollect, it's a seperate adapter. The release is an electrical contact & the adapter plugs into the receptacle, the CR then screws in to the adapter & actually close the (internal) switch. Good thing is they're not real expensive on the used market $15-20.
