Cable release adapter for Leica LTM, Nikon F/F2, Widelux, Yashica A and other vintage cameras (e.g. Leotax, Nicca). This adapter allows the use of a modern shutter release cable release to be used on a variety of vintage cameras. These are uncommon items today! The condition is new.

Price: $15 plus shipping

Will these actually thread into an LTM body as-is or do you have to remove the collar from around the shutter release?

I think most cameras, and perhaps all Leica thread mount cameras, have a collar that needs to be unscrewed to use this adapter, which only takes a couple of seconds to do. On many cameras the collars have been lost! These collars are small and easy to misplace. Of course a shutter release collar is really just a trim piece, and serves no important function (at least as far as I know - they are missing in some of my own cameras!).

These will fit on a Nikon w/o removing the collar but not Leica LTM bodies in my experience.

This is weird, because the Nikon AR-2 release threads into either without removing the collar.

These are handy and, IMO, desirable to have to hand, even if you have yet to find a camera using one.
