Hi all.

I did some film processing and the film came out wrong.

Using:
Filmomat 2020
tetenal c41 colortec 500ml

I did (3) 120mm rolls + (1) 35mm rolls and they came out great. Then I processed (1) roll of 120mm and it came out wrong. I put in one other roll to make sure it wasn't the film itself and it came out wrong again.

Typically I process (8) 35mm rolls in 500ml of chemistry and it always comes out great; I assumed that because of this I would be able to process more than the "I did (3) 120mm rolls + (1) 35mm rolls "

Does any know what would cause this?

I made this post the other day, but idk how. This site is so annoying sometimes. Wenever I want to make a post it's not easy to find out how. Can someone please let me know how I can make a new post?

Can this be caused by contamination of the developer with bleach?

I had a problem, once, with a more aggressive bleach than the one normally used in C41. I forgot the stop bath and the carried over developer was oxidized and damaged the negatives. The base/mask had an ugly colour like yours, I think.

Shouldn't happen with your chemicals, but perhaps if the developer tank is contaminated with enough bleach?

I'm not very sure. I feel like it should not have been contaminated but I bought some new chemicals from Kodak instead. I'm going to learn how to use these instead, but now I have a new issue. I don't know how to read this chart about replaihsment rates. Would you mind helping me to read this?

I think you use a JOBO machine, right?
I think that the fluid path has become contaminated with strong bleach, and this caused a problem for the developer.
- You should flush the path (that path you pour liquids into in order to deliver fluids to the rotating tank), this path (this tube) has become contaminated and you should clean and disinfect it.
Also, the tube for returning liquids after use to pour them into the bottles. Also this tube has become contaminated and must be disinfected.
I advise you to disinfect these tracks and tubes after every treatment.
I do not know what chemicals you have available to prepare a solution for cleaning and disinfecting the pipes.

Ahhhh okay this makes sense, Thank you so much!
Its a filmomat machine but defiantly should be cleaned after every use.
