As expressed by many of you here, I am venturing into doing C-41 at home due to lab closures. I've procured the Digibase kit and have a CPE2 w/lift to work with. My only real concern is that I depend on this setup for BW processing and am worried about chemistry residue. I have enough reels and a 2563 tank that I can dedicate to color only, but I only have one 2551 tank for doing single roll runs. From reading here and elsewhere, it seems that the biggest issue for cleanup is the stabilizer, so I will probably do that off reel in a separate container. What other precautions should I take to make sure I don't have any contamination?

Thanks for your help.

A good wash in hot water after each run and don't worry about it. Remember, all chemicals that you use are soluble in water. I use the same reels for E-6,C-41 and B/W including stabilizer, photo-flo, etc. No problems.

Nothing special in B&W and color neg processes that would cross-contaminate each other from slightest amounts. It is just an internet legend.

Just rinse clean like you normally do.

Final rinse / stabilizer is not a particular contaminant (it's an internet legend, too). Of course, you have to rinse it off like any processing chemical. It's best to do this step outside of Jobo, on the table, simply because you have already "cleaned" your Jobo in the final washing stage of the film and you don't probably want to redo that. Sometimes I still do the stabilizer step in Jobo; in this case, I don't pour it from the LIFT system, but instead, I remove the tank, pour the stabilizer in and reattach the tank. This way, only a few drops of stabilizer gets to the Jobo processor, easily cleaned by a few squirts of water.

Rinse your reels in warm water right after development. Swirl with a dish brush every now and then.

I develop black & white and color film in my Jobo, not at the same time, without any problems. Just rinse everything off well.
