Interesting. I'd received a response to my feedback July 2014 when the new site design went up, and it basically promised the new site would be a better experience. I eventually gave up.
Unfortunately, in the past 2 years or so I haven't had good luck with them. I've received gear that was supposed to be EX and looked worse than some BGN stuff I've got from them. I've received bodies that had issues-don't they check this stuff?? I've received the wrong item. Tomorrow I will send back a Tokina 35-200 that was supposed to be Minolta MD mount but is Yashica/Contax mount. They have an excellent return/exchange policy and good prices. If you don't mind playing the return/exchange game with them.
FYI: Around the time of the website change, KEH was bought by a private investment firm in New York (you can check out stories on their Dead Link Removed). The original owner and most of the original staff are no longer there, the new owners care about short-term profits more than the decades-spanning reputation, and it shows.
That's true of many formerly-good American companies.very sad.
A once good company - now losing the qualities and people that built its reputation.

The 1%-ers are determined to ruin this country while making an insane profit as reward for their actions.

That explains a lot. I read the Glassdoor pages - very sad.

If you look at the amount of stuff circulating on forums, Craigslist, and eBay, that clearly isn't true. There's a ton of used gear but prices have fallen so far that there's not a lot of money to be made. It'd be even worse for a retail outfit like KEH that may well have paid owners more for the camera 3-5 years ago than what the Japanese are dumping the used inventory in their shops for on eBay. I can pretty consistently match domestic (KEH/B&H/Adorama/etc) pricing on VG+ to EX- stuff by buying from Japan and getting EX+ to Mint stuff for the same price including international shipping.I think the inventory problem is partially because the big film sell-off by people who either inherited these cameras or those who switched to d*gital is over and mostly those who like to shoot film aren't selling their cameras much.
I remember watching a segment on 60 Minutes (MANY years ago) about the auto industry, and why the Japanese were doing so well with selling cars in "America".I've seen it happen personally. I've worked in such companies - which were in the top 50 best ranked places to work. They're not anymore. They don't have the long term view of Asian companies. Toyota and Honda would not have survived the first few years here if they had such a short term greedy philosophy.
But whereas these people may be among the 1%, their actions are not typical of most of the 1% (and I personally know more than a few), who I believe create good companies, products, and jobs, or who are outstanding in the work they do.
That's one of the only phrases provided by their translation program."We only provide what was in the pictures"....... is all they could keep repeating.
