Buying C41 (developer only)?

Well, I just had someone knock over my freshly mixed c41 developer and it all went down the drain. I have perfectly good fresh blix and stabilizer (this was a tetenal kit).
Is there anyway to buy the chemicals to mix developer only, or am I stuck rebuying a whole kit?

Thanks for any thoughts... I'll continue to research, feeling a bit bummed out as it just shot my plans for the rest of Sunday.

EDIT:
Strongly thinking about moving over to working from bulk chemicals, as it seems like the savings will be massive and I am in this for the long haul (until they stop making c41 film?)
Very overwhelmed by quantity of different chemicals needed... if anyone can point me in the direction of a good beginners guide, I'd be hugely appreciative!

Further research into bulk chemicals started to freak me out.
I think this is what I need:
Kodak C-41 Dev/Repl LORR TM
Kodak C-41 Dev/starter LORR
Bleach and fix seem to be only in large quantities-- can anyone speak to the best pairing of those two for the above?
I plan to use up the BLIX/Stabilizer that I have then move onto the Kodak Flexicolor chemicals, or maybe do some kind of a hybrid with home made bleach and fix.

Yes, that's what you need -- developer and starter. It's exactly what I use. That "kit" will make 6+ liters of working developer once you add the starter, so have some bottles lined up.

KODAK FLEXICOLOR LU Developer Replenisher LORR Cat 3667805 Spliting.

To make 1 liter of working solution:
start with 750 mls tempered water
Part A ----- 75.2 mls
Part B ----- 25 mls
Part C ----- 37.84 mls
top off to one liter

With the LU developer you should use the LU replenishment rates.

I use this one. it comes in 4 packs, each make 3L for a total of 12. works great as it can bu re-used with slight time extension. see kodak's SM fact sheet for times

Ah, brilliant! I was looking a the SM F2 pack, but I couldn't *quite* determine if it was all you needed for bleach and fixer (or if you had to buy separate starter to mix). Any words to the longevity of an F2 pack? I am starting to shoot a lot more color, but I am not going through crazy amounts... I'd say 5-7 rolls a month. I've heard that bleach can be reused for much longer than the fix/developer-- does that hold true in your experience?

Thanks for the insight everyone... going over the options again. I was starting to feel tempted to just dump what I have and switch over to the 5L Rollei liquid kit, but this might be cheaper/better overall (also I order all my B&W chemistry from freestyle so it makes it simple). I guess Kodak really has zero interest in the consumer/enthusiast market with this stuff, it's a real headache to make sense of what you need.

No starters needed for the F2 kit. The bleach is used full strength, the fixer must be mixed 1+1 with water. I think you get a liter of bleach and slightly more or less fixer concentrate. My kit arrived expired, but expiration dates don't matter much with bleach and fixer. They exhaust with use, but even so, they have good capacity -- especially the bleach. Shake it up periodically to keep it aerated.

The 366 7805 is not the LU LORR developer, but the regular. What is the split for 366 7805?

There's a thread here in the color forum, that has details on all the options for C41 chemistry. I think it's a sticky @ the top of the page. Well worth reading. LORR/SM/F2 are not the cheapest (nor best IMNSHO) way to go for C41 chemistry. I like the "regular" C-41 best (Kodak chems of course), which are also the least expensive by volume.

I have the splits figured out to make the 3667805(to make 20L) into 4 5L sizes. I'll look those up and post tonight. I measured out the contents and divided by 4, basically.

But the response you got from Kodak refers to the LU LORR developer. Or is it 3667805? The note is confusing.

I don't think there is an "or"".

The note is about 3667805 which is a LORR LU developer.

I thought it is the regular Flexicolor. The package does not say LU or LORR.

For what it is worth, LORR means "Low Rate of Replenishment." Never found out exactly what LU means, but I believe it stands for "Low Utilization" or, in other words, solution that may sit in a mini-lab that doesn't run that much. Don't know, just guessing. Anyhow, the last that I bought was the LU variety and it has remained working for a pretty long time now.

Actually I just found it on the EK website and they say it is supposed to last twice as long as the old, regular Flexicolor. At this point I would agree with that.

The 5 litre LU Part is 823 1672
