I want to buy 100 rolls of Ektar 120. Where can I buy it to save a little money?
Are there any wholesale options available? If I can find someplace good I would also like to buy a large quantity of one of the Portra 400's in 220.

I am not aware of any major store that is still doing quanity discounts. The best prices around seem to be B&H Photo in NYC. That is as low as some other smaller guys who give discounts for larger orders. The film has always been very, very fresh from B&H.

Adorama is usually very competitive on film prices, i have bought most of my film from them the last 6 - 8 months.

Should ad that they also ship fast, if you order before noon it will be out the door by the end of the day.

I would check Freestyle out as well, they usually have good prices and stock as well.

Agreed! I do prefer Freestyle over B&H for their customer service and actually with Ektar, Freestyle is $0.04 more expensive so I would choose Freestyle. They also have fresh stock.

Thanks everyone. I usually order from B&h and Adorama. I was hoping that there was a hundred pack available or something.

Oh well,
I wasn't going to do it anymore figuring why risk having a lot of film lying around... but I think ordering a large amount will be worth it in shipping charges. I am going to play with the shipping calculator and see what the difference is between 10 shipments of ten rolls vs. 1 shipment of 100 rolls.

When you get a large quantity, you can specify all from the same batch. That way, you get consistency, if that is important to you.

If you are on the West Coast you can get Freestyle's standard shipping and it will get there in 2 days most likely. If you are get standard shipping from NY it will take about a week.

Samys is cheaper than FreeStyle, by enough to make it worth checking their website.

You might want to give few stores phone calls and see if anyone is willing to discount some... maybe not by that much but wouldn't hurt to ask...

Lately I have been buying film from the Adorama store on Ebay because of the Bing cashback with Buy-it-now, but sadly that is a thing of the past. I don't see many places offering discounts for buying in bulk, unless you are willing to settle for short-dated or past-dated stock.
