and I will give a donation to apug, or a tip in the moderator tip jar.
just PM me and tell me what you want and at the end of the month
i will tally up all the donations and paypal sean. please put MAGNET in the subject line.
prices
the silver magnet is $45 USD plus shipping
Trickle Tanks ( 3.5 gallon ) is $159 and the 6.5 gallon is $179 + shipping.
Unlike other places that sell these devices, I am more than happy to
answer all your questions, and if i can't I ask the manufacturer.
particulars
The Silver Magnet is a small electrolytic device that is submerged in your spent
fixer. it plates the silver out of solution leaving about 50parts/million (silver/water ).
the electrode can hold upto 32 troy oz of silver on it.
in the usa you can mail it ( bag included ) back and get paid
the spot price of silver ( less the cathode weight, less a small refining fee )
which ends up being around 90%. no minimums no high fees.
if you are in canada, please see the other silver magnet thread
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
there is a canadian refiner that will happily pay for your shipping and give you around 90% for the silver.
outside of the usa and canada, i am working on refiners to refer you to but unfortunately i haven't been very successful.
Trickle tanks are a gravity fed system. there is a holding tanks that feeds
an iron/metal core in the second tank. through ionic transfer the silver is
taken out of your liquid. most if not all of the silver is removed.
working in tandem with a silver magnet the 3.5 and 6.5 gallon tanks can
filter out around 1000 + 2000 gallons of spent fixer ...
alone their lifespan is much shorter ( about 400 and 800 gallons ).
the trickle tanks can be refined by the same people that refine the silver magnets.
have a great december and as always, if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
