Burleigh Brooks 670 enlarger???

Are Burleigh Brooks 670 enlargers w/ a schneider 50mm lens worth buying. I found one used?

I won this auction. I found out it is a Fujimoto/Lucky enlarger made in Japan. Here is a phot of the enlarger.
does anyone have any information on this?

I have a Lucky 90M it looks pretty similar. It works fine for me, what do you want to know?

Thanks for the response. It does look similar. My enlarger has not arrived yet It is being shipped so I am waiting for it to get here. You got me beat I paid $25 for mine. It has a Schneider 50mm f/1.9 lens which I felt is worth more than the $25???
Are parts available? What kind of bulb does it use?

Hmmmm... According to this the Schnieder lens isn't an enlarging lens:

On the plus side enlarging lenses are cheap. I use El-Nikkors. They're just what I wound up with. Generally you want 6 element lenses. As far as parts go, Fujimoto still exists:

It uses standard socket bulbs. Mine came with a factory original 150w bulb which was too bright so I found a 75w bulb on ebay for $2. One thing about that. The bulb is on an adjustable tube. Tube all the way up is for the larger formats, all the way down for smaller formats. Oh yeah, this drove me nuts for a while (spots on prints). If the enlarger hasn't been used in many years, clean the condenser lenses. Mine were grungey, their furry growth scoffed at dustoff. I eventually used mild vinegar based glass gleaner and paper towels, which worked like a charm.

Your right the Schneider lens came on a Kodak 35mm SLR back in the mid fifties. The guy I got it from had used the Schneider lens, supposedly. I guess I will find out in a week or so when it gets here.
As far as the buld, when you say standard socket bulb, do you mean that any 75 watt lightbulb will work? It doesn't have to be some type of kelvin rated bulb?

Any bulb will work--trouble is, very often the printing on a regular bulb will print through and appear magically in the middle of your prints. Color temp is not a real problem with b/w, actually, especially with graded papers. And you might be able to use a scrungy pad to get the letter off a regular bulb to use as a stop gap. BTW, I used such an enlarger for both 35 and 6x6 and never once changed the bulb position.
Oh, and I also printed with an F/2.0 Rodenstock Heligon taken from an old Retina. It worked. But as soon as you can afford it, get a decent enlarging lens. They're quite cheap nowadays, as others have said.

The base is the same as normal lightbulb. Enlarger lightbulbs besides not having writing on the top, also have extra "frosting" to more completely diffuse the filament.

My eBay enlarger arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised...It is very well made, no plastic.
It has 2 negative holders, 35 mm and one that is larger. I don't know what size it is maybe 4x5??
Anyway there are a couple of thing that I have no idea what they are for.
There is a small slide out tray between the bulb and the condenser lens. It obviously holds something. Is it for contrast filters?
Bellows are in excellent condition and the plate where the lens mounts will tilt like a shift tilt lens...I think?
There is also another piece that almost looks like a negative holder but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere on the enlarger.
Does anybody have any ideas? You can see it in the photos above. The mystery piece is in the upper part of the photo to the left of the negative holder.

The slide out tray is for filters. I tend not to use mine because the fit is tight and on a single column enlarger the whole assembly starts jostling around, so I just under-the-lens it. Judging by the name the other neg carrier is probably for 6x7 (cm) medium format, though you could easily use it for 6x6 or 6x4.5 as well. Some enlagers do allow the lens board to move. I have yet to do this and keep everything dead on for the time being. My guess is that it's mainly used to adjust the alignment of the enlarger. No idea what the mystery object is, perhaps better images would help?
