Just bought an old B&J tailboard camera. In the past I've stripped and stained some B&J parts, but this time I think I'll just respray the original gray.

Before I just get a can of Krylon Pewter Gray, has anyone painted one of these and have any advice on getting something close to the original paint?

Thanks,
Nathan

I've repainted....

a couple of Grovers. After stripping hardware, I mixed a couple of hardware store enamels to match. I brushed mine, finish sanded, then used a thinned version of the base coats to eliminate brush marks. Couldn't tell it wasn't shot with a spray.
Don't forget about "dry down darkening" when mixing (see print viewing threads ). You'll be pleased if you take your time....quite durable, as well.
