Hello,

I have posted on here about this before but cannot seem to figure out my login information. So i am reposting some thoughts.

I am in the process of building a lens for a camera obscura. The subject that the lens is capturing is about 4-8 feet in front of the lens. The plane in which the lens is projecting the image is about 4-6 feet from the other end of the lens. I am a bit famliar with the process of using lenses with diopters of the same number, yet opposite values, and placing those within a container and figuring the distance between the lenses based on the depth of field one is attempting to achieve. If anyone has some input on this, either answers or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hello Jason,

Our newer member Nodda Duma - I think this is close or true - is an optics designer and frequently post in camera building section. I am sure he would be happy to help you to your private message. There is a robot at private message section which helps to find correct post address.
If you know the specifications of your lens inventory , may be he can figure out may be ray trace or automatically finds the best distances via zemax.

I think Rheinhold sells 1000 mm under 100 dollars.
