This is useful and I shall study the details. My darkroon is light tight enough for paper and the only film I have processed in it has been orthochromatic. Although trays would seem to be easy to use, film does present difficulties not usually experienced with paper. Thanks. A timely posting for me !

I shall give them a try. As I mentioned, all my film processing larger than medium format has been orthochromatic. Now that I want to do some larger format work for contact printing, I want to get the right negative in camera and not as an enlarged negative. I have to confess having had some mishaps and thinking that 'that film has been ruined', only to find that no damage was done. As I say, a timely article from Donald.
