Everything SQ, except for the AE finders, will mount on the SQ-B.

Wow Jim!

Every time I think I have too much equipment, I'm pleased to see your list. (And I have no intention of trying to catch up)

And to think I just added a Bronica SQ-A to that list.

Cameras are cheap these days. I see little reason to restrain myself anymore. And aside from the dirt-cheap 35mm gear, everything I own is for a purpose. (The 35mm gear is primarily purchased for a purpose, too, but the surplus cameras are worth so little nowadays that the point of selling them is rather small.)

THat's not quite accurate.

The AE finders will fit and can be used on the SQ-B, the only thing is that the metering wil not work as the camera does not have the necessary wiring.

I was understanding that there is some sort of pin that prevents the AE finders from mounting on the SQ-B.

I might be wrong... but I read it somewhere.

Must be a winter-in-Saskatchewan thing, as I just got an SQ-A, too. And have just pigged out completing my lens compliment: 150mm, 80mm, 50mm, and a 40mm. Now, if the hoar frost would be available when I can get out ....

John

An SQ family history at the Tamron site implies the only mounting incompatibility is that the AE finders will not fit the plain vanilla SQ. They may not work on other models if the electrical ciruitry is lacking.

Actually, at the bottom of the linked page is an explicit description of the SQ-B that says finders will mount but not set exposure because the body supplies no power and has no connections.

Funny coincidence. Maybe we should meet in Davidson sometime in the spring and break this stuff in! I only got the 50, 80 and 150, but I can live...

Yeah that's what I said, but nobody wanted to believe me :confused:
