Hello, I bought a new Bronica SQ-AM two days ago. Yesterday everything was fine, but today I'm having problems.

The film is loaded in the camera, but I can't take pictures. I have the same problem in multiple exposure mode.
(I tried all three backs.)

Video 1: I tried in multiple exposure mode with the back removed, but it didn't work.

Video 2: I tried with the film loaded in the back, but it didn't work.

Video 3: It still doesn't work with the back removed. When I press the drive button with the back removed, it makes a sound like it's continuously winding the film, and it still doesn't fire.

Additionally, when I press the drive button, the film doesn't advance steadily.
All my batteries are new, and I've tried alternative batteries.

I would appreciate your help, thank you.

Should fire if you have film in the back. Or, with the back empty it should fire in multiple exposure mode.

Camera requires 7 batteries. 6 for the motor and 1 6V for the shutter.

That camera is pretty old, looks pretty used too.

I had SQAi bodies with motors. Sometimes would do something funny but it was always me. I think you may have a defective camera.

UPDATE: The repairman looked at it and said it needed servicing, that it wasn't a simple mistake, and that the inside of the machine needed to be opened. I returned the machine.
