Can you use 220 filmback for 120 film on Bronica sq a camera?

I shot a roll of 120 in my SQ 220 back with no issues. Got 15 exposures. I understand some backs will not accommodate the paper backing of 120 film stock. I used Ultrafine Extreme 400. Haven't tried anything else.

I've used a 220 back with 120 film on my ETRSi and it worked fine.

Don't forget that there are only 15 frames of film in there, no matter what the frame counter tells you!
Mamiya America used to have a user forum where they said that while 120 film could be used in a 220 insert/back, heavy use could result in premature wear to the insert. I have no idea whether the same concern would apply to your camera.

Any 220 back should have a little higher pressure or closer clearance for the film than a 120 back--I would expect that is where you might experience heavier wear using 120 in a 220 back.

If you are getting 15 exposures, you're probably using a 6x4.5 back rather than the square one. I never see that much extra film in 6x6 on a roll of 120 to cover an extra exposure, certainly not 3 extra exposures. Also, note that clearing the film after the last exposure will require you to dry shoot till you get to the 220 count for the back you have (24 for 6x6 or 30 for 6x4.5).

I should have mentioned mine is the 645 back, hence the 15 images. Apologies for any confusion.
