My RF645 has finally developed the infamous winding issue. Tamron no longer does repairs so I hope someone here knows what the repair might be so I can attempt it myself, or know of someone who can do this repair for me.

I really want to get this fixed because this camera is a gem to use.

Well, the watch oil arrived today and I put a drop onto the bolt/washer on the film supply side of the camera, then put in an empty spool and spent 10 min turning it both forward and backward but it is still pretty stiff. The issue is, I have no idea how stiff a good working RF645 supply spool should turn. I really would rather avoid trying to remove the bolt but will if I need to.

Anyone here with an RF645 who can tell me how stiff their supply spool is?

So, I put a roll of Neopan 400 and it seems to be working smoothly. Hopefully, I'll make it through all frames without a problem.

This is such an awesome camera.

I just finished a roll on mine and I can move the spool with my thumb. There is resistance there, it needs some tension and I think it is only a problem if it is very, very stiff. Hope it works out for you and be gentle with the winder, slow and full strokes.
