Does any one really know if Bronica Etrs lenses will fit and work on the Bronica SQa cameras and vice versa? Seems most likely not, but I have heard they will and do..... who's right here. Got both, but a little reluctant to try..... don't want to bollick up a electronic shutter or something else there...:surprised:

The Only Bronica cross compatibility was with (not all) RZ & RB

The answer in essence relates to the image circle of the lenses. I can't imagine Bronica volunteering to incur the cost of developing, testing, manufacturing and holding inventory of two series of lenses if one could have done the job. I know that sadly, Bronica have not survived. But I don't think they died of stupidity:smile:

Something sounds like urban legend about ETRS lenses on Mamiya, particularly the RZ which is electrically coupled...while the ETRS lenses have electrical contacts for shutter speed and aperture control, the lens action is reliant upon also mechanical couple arms on the back face of the lens interacting with the body (specifically triggered by reflex mirror swinging up fully out of the way of the film plane view of the lens).

There is no cross-compatibility with Bronica. Lenses only fit their native bodies.

With Mamiya most/all RB lenses can be used on an RZ, but not vice versa (the two ProSD-only K/L lenses may not mount on an RZ, I'm not sure). The Mamiya 645's can use many other system's lenses with adaptors, but not Bronica or RB/RZ systems (the former either lack a focusing helical or are electronic shutter/aperture, the latter lack a helical)

Pentax 645's can use 67 lenses with an official adaptor.

IIRC Hassy H series bodies have a V-series adaptor.
