I'm considering expanding my lens range for my Bronica ETRSi, and one of the possibilities is the 45 - 90 zoom. There's a few available SH at quite reasonable prices. Anybody here any experience of using them? Is there any serious difference between the EII and PE versions? Are they worth their weight?

Cannot speak for the OP - but the idea of a zoom for the ETRSi is attractive to me too.

It's always a pro/con type of analysis. The zoom eliminates the need to carry two lenses. But usually at the price of speed reduction and possibly some distortion at the "extremes".

I'm curious to see if anyone has used this particular lens - because the weight issue is substantial.

No, I haven't used zooms on the ETRS. But I can hazard a guess at the difference between the two versions: The PE has half-stop clicks, the EII only whole-stop clicks.

At least that's the only difference in the other lenses. There may be some minor optical "tweaks" as well, but the EII lenses are already extremely good.

I've done a bit more thinking and I reckon I'll go for primes - the weight of the zoom puts me off and 95mm filters are extortionate!
