I've use the EC for over 25 years and love it. Also have the ECTL but haven't used it very much. Nice thing about the ECTL is that, if the battery dies, it can still shoot at 1/60th which is where the flash synchs anyway. I shot the EC as a Pro for weddings, baseball, anything but now I'm retired. Hard to beat the lens: 50, 75, 100, 150. Had only one problem over the years...shutter wouldn't make contact with small circuit card inside...it was more of a mechanical problem and a tune up by the Camera Wizard (Winchester VA) fixed it right up. You should be very please with these cameras. Missed out on an 80 lens once and tried hard to find one but never did..would have liked it better than the 75.
