Hi! I´m from Argentina. I´ve recently bought a beautiful Bronica EC TL in amazing condition. It even came with a 6x4,5 back.

I put a roll on the 6x6 back. Shoot it all and was amazing. Everything worked perfectly.

Today i tried to put a new roll and shoot one to test it, but after i shot it the mirror didnt came down.

So this its what its happening, if i shoot it in the Mechanical position (red dot) it works fine. If i take the battery, and i use it on other position (like 1/500) the mirror stays up until i release the shutter with the button (like its suposed to work).

But if i use it with a battery (ive already tried a new one) in any position other than the full mechanicals, the mirror stays up until i set the shutter speed to mechanical.

So... it appears to be something with the electric part right? Some Advice?

Welcome aboard, @The Stig (I guess we'll never get to see the face behind the helmet, in keeping with the real Stig, eh! )
Sorry to hear about your issues with the Bronica. Yes, it does sound like an electrical problem. Have you tried a different brand of battery? Cameras can be picky sometimes. Ask @xkaes, he has encountered multiple battery puzzles recently, which he usually solved by switching battery brands. It's worth a shot since it's usually easy enough to try.

If you happen to be using an old PX28A battery, or an inexpensive one, I'd try a new, name-brand battery. That may not solve the problem, but it would make the battery less likely to be the culprit.

Hi! Ive bought this one. Should i try other brand? Or other type of battery? The thing is that i already shoot an entire roll without problem. And i bought 2, so i tried the new one and the problem was still there.

My understanding is that an A544 is the same as a PX28A. But sometimes batteries that are NEW have been sitting on the shelf for a long time -- and not generating full voltage. You need to test the voltage of the battery you used in the camera.

It measures 6,25 V. Is it okay?

That's PERFECT.

Yeah, i knew it. Im an electromechanical engineer and im guessing the electric signal that times the mirror is failing. I dont have the tools to open it but i will search for someone who does.
