Yep !! I was looking at the goofy way the GG was mounted (improperly too) and was tinkering too hard and broke one of the springs on one (right) side--those are some tight but brittle springs (the springs are simply a length of brittle metal)---I keep hearing that saying "If it ain't broke....." Well it's broke now--any suggestions on repair and what's the scoop on the way the GG mounts in those backs--I had a sheet of clear glass on the underside and a fresnel on top of that--no actual focussing surface--previous owner I guess (not me on that one!) --I had been using the top focus screen but wanted to verify the focus screen and GG on the back were seeing the same point of focus ! I also wanted to compare the two and see if Dave Parker could cut one for the top--it has cutouts on both sides for parallax correction pins !
FWI--it has a revolving type grafloc setup-- I just need a standard gg on it--nothing fancy but one that actually works as the current configuration is a no go---my standard size 4x5 glass in my DD is too big plus there is a spacing issue----I checked it with a steel rule and the installation was incorrect compared to my DD and my Linhof !!
If your wondering --yes it is a neat 4x5 toy!!
