I was out at a casino today, and while taking a smoke break, I noticed a no smoking sign, and decided to take full advantage of it, I only had my Samsung Galaxy phone on me, so I used that.
When I got home, I edited it in darktable, I played with the color calibration, then used the monochrome plug in, selected the saturation I wanted, and lifted the highlights.
Before anyone asks, yes, this was totally inspired by Judas Preist "Breaking The Law".
I notice it's a bit blurry at the bottom and there is a smudge. anything I can do to fix that in dartktable or other free software?
For what it’s worth just crop out the bottom. You can’t tell that the grey blob is fingers even if sharp. If you have the skills and software, you might try matching the angle of the cigarette to the one in the sign.
I will probably do that. See how it looks after. Too bad I didn't have my cannon 400D on me.
I think the blurriness by the bottom is due to moisture, as the phone goes in and out of pocket on a regular basis, and it is humid summer here, and the smudge is likely fingers too.
