I have the above mentioned camera here with a stuck shutter. It looks like a good cleaning is in order but I cant right off decide how to get to the shutter itself. It's just a Prontor SVS so shouldn't be much of a problem but its encased in the lens mount, and I'd like a hint of the proper direction to attack from so as to avoid any problems.

The lens unthreads and I see three screws that hold the mount face in position. Taking those and the mount face out doesn't seem the trick. I can see the shutter's front plate fixing ring but there is still lens mount in the way.

Maybe from inside the camera? Anyone know the proper path?

Thanks much,

If the construction is basically the same as the earlier Super Paxette (it probably is) there are, as you suggested, four screws inside holding the lens-mount on. I don't remember exactly where they are, but they will line up with the lens-mount legs.

The four screws were the way, but two are behind the wind sprocket which necessitates its removal first. I ended up finding some information on an earlier model in my SPT information. It was close enough to get me started.

Quite a camera to work on. The wind crank mechanism isn't quite as bad as I'd read on the web but it would be easier with a couple more hands. I've had this thing apart and back together a few times now, each time getting closer to completion. With a little luck it will be a shooter sometime later today. Lots wrong with it...
