I am selling a very nice Nikon 35mm F2 Nikon F mount lens. This lens is in very good condition optically and mechanically. The glass condition is superb. The focus travel is a bit more resistant to movement than most vintage Nikon lenses I have owned (which are usually somewhat loose feeling), but it is quite acceptable in my view (some prefer a smoother more defined action).
Although I am not an expert, I think this lens had what is called a non-factory AI conversion. The party that converted the lens also, apparently, very neatly painted over the words "Nikkor-O" and "Nikon" on the front ring with matching black touch-up paint, I assume this was part of their effort to "transform" the lens into the AI version - that is what I suspect at least. One could probably remove this paint if desired (It's only noticeable with close inspection - I just noticed this when I was taking photos to post it here), but there is no real reason to - the lens looks and works great!
The lens is sold with the original box with matched serial number and with a warranty from 1972 provided by the retailed that sold it in Hong Kong. The warranty card also also has a matching serial number. The lens comes with lens caps, probably not original, but marked as Nikon.
This lens takes incredible pictures and I have attached a few (Rincon Beach, CA and Kodacolor). This lens is really a classic now, and deservedly so.
