Boxed Leica M3 single-stroke with recent CLA. Sale includes original box, some paperwork, and CLA receipt. Box and camera serial number do indeed match! Good used condition, but with some signs of normal use. Fully functioning of course with no opto-mechanical issues to note. There is a bit of carefully applied tape on bottom interior of the box to help hold it together, but it's in pretty good shape. A really nice set!

Price: $900 OBO plus insured shipping. Payment by bank check.

Very nice. But there has to be a better place to photograph that than on top of a brick wall. It's like nails on a chalkboard seeing that beauty there! :D

I'm looking for a Leica M3, million+ S/N, Ex+ condition, no dings, dents, w/ spool, leather intact, CLA'd, ready to go out of the box. Anyone out there have one for sale?

Nice one. I sold my M3 a while back after I treated myself to a used but almost perfect MP. My MP is simply awesome but I sometimes miss the M3 though. Shutter and advance like butta'.....

Richard, the lineup I hope to build eventually is an M3, M6 classic, and MP. I just want to see which one or two will work out best for me. I have the M3, of course. I bought the one that davela was selling in this posting. It is a great camera.

The MP is my dream Leica, but I don't want to spend that much for an M body right now. The shutter speed dial on the earlier M6 (prior to the TTL version) turns the same direction as the M3 and MP dials, so that is why I want the "classic" M6. The M6 TTL and M7 shutter spead dials turn the opposite direction.

Glen, did you miss this really clean one that just sold on ebay? Single stroke, 1,000,000 plus S/N, very clean looking 1961 Leica M3 SS 35mm Rangefinder Camera "JFK Camelot" Commemorative. It went for under $900. It probably would have fetched more without the unnattractive and non-Leica sanctioned "commemorative" engraving stuck on the back. But that wouldn't matter for a user camera.

Any particular reason why you are looking for a 1 million plus s/n? A single-stroke with s/n that is over 919,251 (according to cameraquest) is going to be the same camera. Here's one: Leica M3 Single Stroke 35mm Rangefinder Camera Body SS.
