That's o.k. I do have a 24mm in M42 mount but it's not as good as the Vivitar lens. You should be pleased with the 135mm Zeiss Sonnar too. I have one of those.

What is the focal length and mount of this one? d128eb01.jpg and I'm also starting to like the look of that Cosmic 35 but I won't be greedy. If no one else is interested in a few days, it could find a home here.

That wasn't a good photo at all was it? I'll check it out in the morning and get back to you.

HiMatic for Steve
Viv 24mm for freecom2

Well done Perkel. You have more patience than I do !
I can vouch for the quality of the hi-matic which I know took a xmas card photo which was used by an international agency one year. Sadly most of this stuff came to me as the result of two family bereavements so Im only too happy to see any of it happily re-homed where it will be appreciated.
Unlike most of this kit, the vivitar 24mm was actually one of my own and is a very nice lens and is m42.
If any happy recipients care to donate to www.prostate-cancer.org.uk that would be good

O.K. I will probably offer a few things for free too. I tend to do this after I receive something as a gift.

I am interested in the Hi-Matic as stated before and if no one else wants the 200mm lens and the Cosmic, I will take those too but I don't mind waiting a few days to see if anyone else wants them.

What all you got left I am looking for some good M42 lenses!

Hi Derek, everything that hasn't been claimed above is available.

Later today I'll clarify what lenses are what mounts.

Steve - ready to proceed when you are ready (respecting what you said at the start of your post, so your inbox doesn't fill up).

If no one else wants the Cosmic 35 and the 200mm M42 lens then I would like to claim them.

Steve.

I'll let this thread run until next weekend and then I'll move whatever is left over to the main APUG (there was a url link here which no longer exists) thread.

Is there an updated list for exactly whats still available?

Thanks.

Hello All - sorry for the lack of response, I've had a busy week.

Alan gets the filters, I'll be in touch via pm to get details and let you know what filters there are.

Derek - I'm going to re-photograph what is left and then make a post on the main 'Free Stuff' thread. I might get chance to do this on Tuesday but no promises, I'm afraid.

Alan - this coming week looks like it'll be busy too. Please be patient and I'll be in touch after I've dug through all the stuff and found the filters.

A decrease in the amount of free time at my disposal and being gifted an M42 lens to K-Mount adapter means that whilst the lenses are seeing some use, unfortunately the Chinon CX has not had a roll through it yet. Because I think it is only right, I've decided to pass it on for free. All I ask for is to cover postage (at cost), and a contribution made to the Prostate Cancer charity that Steve posted and requested earlier in the thread.

A quick description:
M42, vertical shutter SLR. 1s-1/1000s, all mechanical, battery only powers the light meter. Meter responds to light, not 100% sure about accuracy though. I reckon it's accurate enough though, I wouldn't hesitate to use it for negatives. I have a fresh (albeit an alkaline replacement) battery. Flash syncs up to 1/125s. Light seals are okay, probably light tight but could do with renewal if used as a regular shooter. ISO ranges from 10-1600. Feels very solid, weighty but not too heavy, think consumer Nikon F2 (bold statement, I know!). Uncluttered viewfinder, with only a +/- needle, and also has an mechanical indicator to show when you are at low speeds. Has a very handy button for double exposures, a little switch near the film advance lever and shutter button.

If you are interested, or have any further questions, please PM me - I may miss them amongst all the activity on APUG.

Sent to Count Elmsley. I hope you enjoy the camera!
