Hi, yeah, so the title is pretty explanatory. Looking for book recommendations on copperplate photogravure. Not interested in photopolymer.

Have done courses in intaglio printing and am a member of a collective workshop in that field so I now the basics of printmaking but would like to combine my interest in analogue photography with printmaking. The only course "near" me is a stiff 10 hr drive away and priced at the equivalent of $2000 for five days, so would like to try on my own for a while before I bite the bullet on a proper course.

Thanks. You all are a great bunch.

Sorry, no books I can recommend, other than that in classic photogravure, you basically start with a carbon print and transfer that to copper plate, then etch that. Which means that you could try with any good text on carbon printing. You could start here: https://www.alternativephotography.com/the-carbon-print-by-sandy-king-and-john-lockhart/

Btw, your tanning lamp may be a liability if you go this route. A collimated light source is better (required).

Re the tanning lamp, reread that thread.

OK, I see where this is going. Sorry for not being able to help. Good luck with your project.

Thanks. Since you're in Europe, can you recommend any good litho films available here? I'm trying with agfa (now eco3 offset solutions) but they're stubborn to work with.
