Bolex Paillard B8 Camera-Undeveloped Film

I've recently come across an old Bolex Paillard B8 movie camera, taking double run daylight loading 8mm film. The camera was opened once, briefly, and quickly shut again after realizing that it still contained film. I'm not sure how many times this camera has been opened in the past, or if the film is long expired. Either way, I am interested in processing this film to see what, if anything, I get out of it.

I am wondering if there's a way to tell the type of film by looking, or if there's any way to guess development times/chemicals on this one. The only information about the film its self that I was able to get were the words "Kodak Spool" on the first film spool. I'm guessing that the film has been in the camera for quite some time, as it has been in its original box for years.

First you should run the film all the way to the end. At the end, there should be a filmstock code punched into the film. Most likely, it's Kodachrome, as that was by far the most popular film in regular 8mm.

KM is Kodachrome 25.

Although you can process Kodachrome to black and white, old Kodachrome (30+ years) is so fogged the resulting negative is almost but not quite jet black.

Not to mention it is impossible to find Kodachrome processing now that the last lab in the world stopped processing that film!
