Did you know that the word Bokeh actually means “Crutch”?

And it also means “I’m insecure”.

In what language? If someone asks you who told you that, just tell them I did.

Respectfully, are you an etymologist? interested amateur, expert? Happened to come across a history of the word? find it in you funk and wagnalls? Noted researcher who uncovers meaning and origins of words?

Some folks have questioned my "reasoning" lately. I can't even say "Ralph told me", and a bit hesitant to identify NB23, (from the planet Zorgon?), as the basis for the redefinition.

It was probably the Urban Dictionary. In any case, I find his definition perfectly cromulent.

A crutch is something that adds movement to the life of someone/thing that was formerly rendered immobile. Sounds fine to me.

This is OG bokeh.
Literally.
Kind of helps direct the gaze, hmm?

@NB23 I have the same dictionary on my bookshelf. Let's see...

"3D pop" - the popping sound of a marketing bubble bursting
"tonality" - pompous expression for liking a random image
"scanning" - mysterious witchcraft worthy of burning a stranger for
"lens rendering" - random combination of optical defects for masking mediocre compositions
"leica" - test target for practicing product photography on a smartphone

OP is a troll. OP posts option slanted towards argument and ghosts.

OP is a vermicious knid.

"stupidity got us into this mess, stupidity will get us out."

Good thing it's election time in the states. Plenty of stupidity there for everyone. Free, never a charge.

Viva la reverse image search.

Gradated backgrounds and transitioning swaths of colour has been a part of Japanese and indeed Chinese painting and woodblock prints for a long, long time.
That is the original pictorial bokeh.

Bokeh is haze and fog. Both of the physical and optical kind, but also of the mental kind, which I suspect the OP to be afflicted by and possibly trying to pass on.

Freedom is a double edged blade. We're free to be stupid and by gord we'll exercise that right!

Your Construct of who NB23 might, or might not be, is your own.
Your analysis of what NB23’s intent might, or might not be, is but a mere reflection of your own personnality and perception of the world, of which NB23-the-one does not particularly care.

But Bokeh, let’s discuss

Can bokeh be fixed?

Bokeh, it's all a blur.
