'Saw this exhibit for the 2nd time today. 'Very powerful. The Mrs. was not the same for hours after seeing it.

Unfortunately, the excepts from the interviews w/ the subjects do not appear w/ the online images. If the shooter was pushing an ideology - it didn't show. 'Not pro this, anti-that, which I appreciated. It allowed me to look and read w/out mental filtration.

Those of you around Portland or heading through - its some time well spent. 'Never heard of the shooter before, but his work will leave a mark.

Thanks for the heads-up on this, it looks very interesting.

One point though - considering the subject of the show, this seems like an example where "shooter" is at the very least an unfortunate substitute for "photographer".

Quite the ironic name for a gallery in that city.

Hey Matt. I would normally be thinking 'thin skinned', but the subject does make a difference. The exhibit is mostly those broken or heavily scarred by their experience. Its an old habit for the term & as you point out - not well placed. My reverence for these men & women (espec. lower ranking & spouses) makes me want to extend any kindness or courtesy that can be found. The short version might be: your point is well taken.

The main room is of the aftermath for the US soldiers and their families. The second room is of the families of the middle east war zones. Both quite poignant.

Momus - you ain't kidding! All the jokes are True!
