Yeah, I have. They send the cameras to Advance Camera Repair in Portland, Oregon. That shop does decent work, that said, when they overhauled my last FT2, they did forget to tighten down the screw for the self-timer lever. Everything else was fine on the camera, so I didn't mind that much.
As of late last year I know of one highly experienced repair person on site at Blue Moon with at least 20 years of experience; he has repaired a Nikon F2 and Nikkormat FT2 for me. I know he's worked on a wide variety of cameras. Highly recommended.
They do send some cameras to Advanced - it may be due to the camera model or to ease the workload.
Theo - perhaps your talking about Mike. The Mrs. bought me a retina IIIc there & it had transport issues. Mike found a remanufactured rack gear, did the repairs. 'Works great. That's not the first time they've stood behind their gear for me. I find them impressive. Prices have gone up on gear, but I find the integrity to be worth much.
