Blotter Paper

Here's another print flattening issue: I use blotters sandwiched between to pieces of particle bd.....gets them nice and flat, but I find blotter fibers sicking to some parts of the print. When dry you can rub them off with an eraser but the emulsion surface is mat in those spots rather than glossy.
How can I fix this? I suspect the problem is I don't use a hardener in the fix for retouching and toning purposes. I use a kodafix first bath and a second bath of formulary TF4.

I have the original Kodak blotter rolls. They do not seem to have that problem. I do notice a difference between these blotter rolls and the typical desk blotter, so that may be some of the problem. The blotting paper may be too coarse.

I got my blotters from B&H they came in a Delta 1 drying booklet but I found after the first use that the release paper wrinkled mercilessly and there after also left its little wrinkle marks on my prints as well?

So the prints are placed while wet. How wet? How high
is the stack built? Layer after layer of particle board may
apply too much pressure. Dan

I squeegy them then put them between to pieces of blotter: one on the bottom and one on the top then 2 pieces of particle bd. Too much weight??

Too much weight I think. The prints should lie flat between blotters with just one light weight at the top.

Thanks my orther option was to try using a hardener.
