I’ve just recently learned about blotter books (print drying books). Does anyone use them? Would they work for something sensitive like gum bichromate or cyanotype? I would think the gum would get damaged but the paper is waxed so I’m not certain. Any info would be helpful thanks!
I’m also looking for a good way to dry multiple large emulsion-coated papers in total darkness short of sealing off my studio window.
I've not used with alt process either, but I don't think cyanotype would be a problem. I don't know enough about what a gum is like wet to comment for that.
I was taught that a blotter book is really only useful for prints that have been squeegeed for initial drying or transportation. The final drying should be air-dried.
