Having run two liters worth of developed prints through my blix, I'm wondering if it's done. It's looking that suspicious dark opaque orange color it always does...so how do I tell if it's done? I don't think a standard fix silver saturation test would work because you can't tell if it remains clear. Should I just dump it?

Develop a small piece of fogged color paper in Dektol, rinse, then blix. If it clears to white, the blix is good. If it does not, the blix is bad.

Thanks again PE. I've been wondering how to test blix.

Doesn't the fix go before the bleach? or is this different with film and paper?

The fix goes two ways and is "dead ended" by either route. The bleach part can be regenerated by oxygen, but that helps kill the fix by one of the methods. So, it can be either.
