Summer's over, days are shorter and cooler, and potential darkroom hours are longer. SO: it's perfect time to start printing and mailing those beautiful photos from your summer vacations! Remember that the exchange time period is October-November. December will be rest and we will have the round 25 signup in January. Try not to procrastinate, Santa is watching and marking up his list!

Here is the roster. I have just sent out the PMs so if you didn't get one please let me know ASAP. Do not send your print until October 10 to allow for address corrections just in case, heaven forbid, I screwed something up or someone moved since they sent their address and forgot to tell me. Your PM will also contain your own address; please check it and notify me at once if it is incorrect or out of date.

Will be hitting the darkroom this weekend. Just got the photos I want to print back from the lab. First weekend this month I will not be printing work for a paid client or portfolio prints.

I received a print from Howard (howardpan). He has captured a fine set of pipes ,3 water pipes running up the wall of a building, an made a very classy composition out of them. I like the tones and lighting that shape the pipes , looks like axes lighting . I see pipes like this around here but never thought much of them but Howard has captured the essence of these pipes, very nice, thanks for sharing Howard.

It has been a little quiet here, do not know about the rest of you guys and gals but I have been dragging my feet here. Got a print or two almost ready hopefully can finish this week end and send off Monday to beat the Xmas mailing rush.

I have received a package from Anikin, in fact I've had it 4 or 5 days so a little late in confirming its safe arrival. It's a beautiful large print, what I love about it is the subject matter and composition, its shot from a perspective that I probably wouldn't had considered with subject matter I wouldn't have probably considered either. The juxtaposition between the tall ship, its masts and rigging against the New York skyline is superb, with the sky scarpers echoing the strong verticals of the mast whilst the windows in the buildings mimic the complexity of the rigging. Thank you for sending.

As to my contribution I can confirm that prints are done and just need posting, I shall endeavour to do this later this week.

Thank you! He's asking me about medium format cameras, we'll hopefully get him on APUG here eventually And I do actually have my own studio, we were just hanging out at his. My first time using a ring light though!
