Any interest in restarting the blind print exchange? I was thinking of sign-up in December and mail/print in January/February.

If there is interest, I'd like to propose to make a small change to the rules. How about instead of one address, you get two or even three. One would be the primary address to whom you must send a print, and the other one(s) are optional if you happen to print extras and feel generous. Hopefully this should reduce chances of non-receives and disappointments, and some might even get a nice surprise or receiving extra prints! Opinions?

Hey Eugene,

I'm interested as well. I always enjoyed this exchange...

As you know, I tend to go all in with my submissions. Mounted, matted, custom over-matted, securely (and expensively) packaged and shipped, so I may not be too keen on multiple mandatory recipients. But if as you say it might only be additional optional recipients, then I'm good.

I also prefer making new negatives whenever possible, so given that the quoted timeframe is in the dead of winter (for the northern half), that might not realistically leave sufficient workable weather and time. Especially for large format. Might a longer timeframe, maybe stretching into the spring (northern) / autumn (southern), be a better compromise?

Sounds like there is enough interest. Ken, I agree with you, with holidays it might be a rather tight schedule. Let's add January for sign up and make Feb/Mar printing. I'll start a sign up thread later today. Yes, second/third address is optional - only if you have extras and feel like making a present. I'll try to make sure that they are in closer proximity to the sender to make sure they are not much burden postage-wise.

I would like to participate. Unfortunately I can only send unmounted prints. I have my dry-mounting press at home, and there is no possibility of a decent mount in Colombia.

I should probably clarify my earlier post. Mounting and matting a submission has never been required in the BPX. I do it only because I'm compulsive, anal and sick...

The normal expectation is just simply to send the best unmounted print one can achieve.
