Blind Print Exchange 36 (BPX36) – status & updates

I put my print in the mail today.
Special delivery from Canada at my doorstep yesterday!
Two beautiful (and large!) 11x14" selenium toned FB prints were sent to me by spijker.

The first image was shot in Vienna, Austria, where Menno saw a painting of the "Schemerlbrücke" in a shop window. He decided to look up where the bridge was located, went there and took this beautiful photo.
It shows the bridge with one of the pillars with a lion statue centered in the image. Just when he was about to take the shot, a large group of pigeons took flight, making this a very interesting image!
I like the darker tone and the burnt-in sky really gives that extra drama to the photo. Very nice!

The second image was taken in Ottawa, showing the former "Union Station" in the center of Ottawa.
It was the train station from 1910 until 1966 and is currently housing the senate of Canada.
A beautiful winter image showing the impressive building alongside the water (I assume the Rideau canal, according to Google Maps).
Taken on a sunny winter's day last December, showing snow on the pavement and some very light streaks of clouds in the sky, which makes the building immediately catching your eyes.
This is my favorite of the two!

Thank you Menno for these beautiful photos!

I'm glad to see that the prints finally have arrived and that you like them. I always find it a bit of a challenge to decide what negative(s) to print for the BPX. Yes, it's the Rideau Canal on the 2nd print, still frozen solid.

Blazing fast, it arrived before reported sent , I received a nice print from RauschenOderKorn today. It is an image of a Shinto structure reflected in a pond at the university of Augsburg (Germany) commemorating the ties between Augsburg and Amagasaki (Japan). Bernd put quite some effort into this print with pre-flashing, split grade printing and selenium toning. Despite taken on a bright sunny day, the print preserved the details in highlights and dark tones. Vielen Dank Bernd!

Received two prints from Canuck, closeups of Leaves and Amarillo Bloom, very nice tonality and detail, I especially like the Amarillo!
Both are printed on Ilfobrom paper, didn't know that paper, that's also part of the fun of BPX real life examples of different materials and process. The prints are pretty contrasty, I enjoy that, still the prints look very smooth - I don't know if that's the paper or the pyrocat but great result.
The prints arrived last Friday, guess I'm lucky with Canada to Canada mail!

Thanks Elvis/Canuck!!

@spijker Glad you like it. I am surprised how fast it arrived. German mail said they would transport it by ship, so I though I had a looooot of time to post here. Seems ships have become a lot faster

I have received a special delivery with a splendid print taken at an enchanting valley in Taiwan. Many thanks, Howard! I think I need to visit that place some time

Greetings to all, the first thing is to apologize for my delay and the second one is to ask if I can be late for another week. If this could not be, I would send my photos on the 31st. Thank you! Sorry!

Received not one, but two lovely prints from Canada. The "real" print a stunning shot of the "Fire Wave" in Nevada, and a bonus print of the Pantheon of Rome. Both stunning, beautiful prints.
