The Lubitel uses 120 film, this uses 35mm.

I love how the taking lens is geared to the viewing lens! Maybe you can actually get a somewhat accurate focus. What's that lever on the bottom? Maybe just a bulb/instantaneous switch, or possibly the shutter release. Seems there is a silver pointer visible in the side view that points to one of a few cartoons. Sun, cloud, etc? Maybe it is controlled by the silver handle on the other side of the lens. Looks like fun if they aren't too much money!

Anyone else notice the initials on the front? fbf...appropriate for a film camera...heh heh heh.

Also, I wonder if Michael Jackson is gonna ask them to change the name...

Well, one thing is for sure: I WANT ONE!!! Can't wait till prices die down and they show up over here. I just asked a question about the existence of such a camera on the TLR group not all that long ago. A 135 format, square composition TLR. Nice.

Despite my glib comment earlier, I do agree that a 135-format TLR would be interesting. However, as someone who isn't sold on toy cameras for every day use, I would rather it at least have a "real" lens (the "Superheadz" people apparently only make Holga-esque toy cameras).

I do have a Flexaret VI with the 135 kit (it has a pressure switch so it "knows" it's shooting 135) which will shoot 24x24, but to be honest I haven't tried it out yet.

I am curious as to whether it actually spaces the frames the same when shooting squares and rectangles, or whether it just uses a mask to make the square, wasting the edges.

The point appears to be that these cameras are designed so that they never work properly. Broken before you use them (tm).
