I am selling a black Zeiss Tele-Tessar K 18cm F6.3 for Contax rangefinder in good condition. Remarkably, at least by contemporary standards, this is a rangefinder coupled lens. Remember, this was made well before the modern 35mm SLR was invented. If you're into vintage Contax, this is just about the coolest lens imaginable to add to your kit.
The glass is clear and clean, the iris free of oil, and the focus action smooth. There is a moderate amount of wear and brassing on the body of the lens and finder, but considering the lens is at least 75 years old, the condition is good! While the Contax 18cm/6.3 is obviously an item of particular interest to collectors, it makes surprisingly good images too. The finder and lens are remarkably well matched and the naysayers that claim rangefinders are useless with lenses beyond about 100mm are just dead wrong. (I guess Zeiss didn't realize that in 1933 as there were no SLRs and related pundits then!). See the attached photos taken on my Contax IIa.
The lens comes with the matching (and rare) Zeiss 18cm accessory shoe finder. The front cap appears to be original, and the rear cap appears to be a post-war Zeiss-Ikon cap.
