Hi,
Any ideas what's making these black circles on the top of the frame?
I've been told that it can be lens separation but don't see something too scary on the elements.
Thanks

Looks like surge marks from developing. Too sharp to be a lens issue.

If it is roll film, it might be fogging from light piping in. Some details (camera, film, etc) helps.

It's a linhof 612 with 135mm lens.
Film developed in a lab that i never had problems with before, not sure about their developing process.

Since the marks are in different locations on each frame it cannot be the camera or the lens. If they were in the same location then it could be the camera or lens.
That means it is film or lab. If the film loaded up on the side of the take up the film could have been damaged but it seems more likely to be a lab issue. Have you asked them?

The dark spots are likely from over development in those areas.
Actually, as the image is a positive, the dark spots would be from under-development in those areas.
Most likely from bubbles and/or too little developer in the tank and/or reels that have moved up too high in the tank.

Yup. Bubbles get trapped between the film and the reel on a lot of plastic reels. I changed over to steel reels with 120 film for this reason. Drove me nuts! Even whacking the crap out of the tank on the counter didn't solve it at times. Same with LFN. Too bad it happened to you when you were paying someone. You should let them know.
